Dear Tigey,
The ongoing Canada Post strike is a little annoying from a personal perspective, but I hope they get all their demands.

Life
I made my first ever online grocery order this week, from T&T Supermarket, the local Chinese supermarket. Well, not quite local, it’s Canada-wide, with one newly-opened USA store in Bellevue, Washington or something. Anyway, although shipping was free, there was a $4.99 handling fee which was probably worth it since it takes me $2.75 to transit there (and another $2.75 back, if I miss the return window on the transfer, though this doesn’t usually happen). They also state that for apartments, they only deliver to the front lobby, so although there was also a tipping section, I didn’t give any since the the handling fee was already massive and there was usually a shipping fee on top of it. So as expected, when the groceries arrived, they gave me a phone call and then dumped the stuff in the main lobby and left before I even arrived.
Everything that I had requested was there though. The two vegetables there were 3 pounds each of Sher Li Hon (green, on top) and Chinese White Radish (white, on bottom). I hadn’t brought any bags and there was no way I could leave the groceries there again to go back up and get bags, so I had to drag all that into the elevator awkwardly, but I did get everything safely home. I always liked the name Sher Li Hon because it sounded like it could be an actual person’s name (Shirley Hon?).
Anyway. The main reason I did the delivery this time, besides being lazy, was because I needed a new soup pan/wok and didn’t want to actually travel on a bus while carrying a pan. Yes I could have bought one from Amazon too, but well, see a little further below. Regardless, the new pan looked like this:
And side by side with the old, scratched up pan that’s missing one handle:
The new pan looks nice, I like the granite look, but it is a cheap $20 or so pan, so I don’t expect it to last a super long time. But as long as it’s serviceable and lasts a while, it’s fine. I made my first cauldron of soup in it this week.
Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, all incoming packages have been delayed as well. I had two incoming packages this week, one from Pebblebee and one from Amazon, that were both scheduled on Thursday. On Wednesday, the Pebblebee one, which was incoming from UPS, was delayed to Friday. Fine, whatever.
On Thursday, the Amazon delivery, which was being delivered by Intelcom/Dragonfly as all Amazon packages in Edmonton are fated to undergo, was delayed by six days! And they didn’t even update the status until late in the afternoon on the day of delivery itself. This incensed me.
On Friday though, I noticed that that 6 day window had been updated again and the package was now out for delivery that day. Phew! I could see the GPS marker for the driver on Amazon’s tracking site, and I watched him circle the neighbourhood to the west of me, then to the north of me, then he stopped by Southgate Mall for deliveries and dinner, before he finally came over to my place. It was around 8pm by that point and I was already well into my 3-hour streaming window, which I had to go pause in order to let him in to the front apartment door once he called me. He had two other packages to deliver in the building too, so I let him in after collecting my package, while privately wondering why I was always the one that delivery couriers called first, and we had a friendly chat while we took the elevator up together.
That evening, I noticed that it was the Pebblebee/UPS package’s turn to be mysteriously delayed on the day of delivery. It was pushed to Saturday. UPS sucks as ever too, I wish American companies wouldn’t ship with that garbage company. They charged a hefty fee for “customs processing” that was 10% of the purchase price of the Pebblebee trackers itself, but in this case, they couldn’t use USPS anyway since that connects to Canada Post, which was on strike. It’s just very typical UPS that they scam people out of money and then delay the delivery anyway. Though Fedex is not any better either. I think maybe it’s just the fabric of capitalistic society that’s slowly crumbling as every big company enshittifies themselves as part of their race to the bottom of the dung heap, squeezing as much money out from captive clients as possible while lowering the service as much as possible.
Anyway, that package came in on Saturday. They dumped the package in front of my door, knocked on the door, and left without ever saying a word or contacting me in any other way. I guess it’s the opposite of the day before, they had to have either contacted someone else to get into the building or tailgated someone in. It’s just annoying having to be on “package alert” for three days in a row because I don’t know when the package is arriving and always have to risk missing the package when I go shower or go out. Not that I did the latter in the latter part of this week.
There’s a small Christmas tree in our apartment lobby, I took a picture of it last Saturday night during the fire alarm that I mentioned in last week’s post, but I had forgotten to upload it then. So here it is now.
My team at work is holding a Christmas team lunch this Friday. We’ll potentially have two Christmas team lunches for people who can’t make the other one and/or don’t like the food at the other one, since the first one is an expensive meat place of some sort that I’ve never been to, and the stingy department isn’t paying for it this year.
Arsh, the person who wrote (and performed) our McNally graduation year’s song, reached out to me this week and told me about a new song and music video that he had just produced. I had asked him to tell me when he made new songs so I could listen to them and help him promote it. I’ve linked a couple songs of his in the past, and previous videos couldn’t be embedded but apparently this one can, so here we are. I listened and watched through it and I very much like it. He’s so talented, and I’m not saying that just to be nice.
We might apparently go out for coffee (or something, since I don’t drink coffee) at some point.
I did some work on my blog this week, playing around with trying to create a few templates that do not use Elementor. The default WordPress blocks all seem so ugly and unwieldy compared to what Elementor provides though. I also tried to create a landing page for that repository of readme.txt files that I wanted to make, and it is located here, however WordPress doesn’t easily let me upload .txt file extensions, and the workaround I found is very tenuous, but on the flip side the Internet Archive is currently very unreliable and its main page is down a lot these days and it’s impossible for me to upload anything on there with any sort of regularity until they fix that.
And finally, here’s a montage of balcony landscape pictures from the week as always. Sunday Dec 01 at 4:10 pm:
Monday, Dec 02 at 4:39 pm, coming in with a nice sunset:
Tue, Dec 03 at 3:42 pm:
Wed, Dec 04 at 9:24 am, as snow mist fogs up the world:
Thu, Dec 05 at 3:29 pm, with a scrambled cloud puree overhead:
Fri, Dec 06 at 3:22 pm, with a sun yolk saying goodbye to the day:
And then at 5:49 pm, because I hadn’t had any night pictures yet up till this point, and I liked the way all the light bounces off of the snow in winter and keeps things bright. Also, that mass of bright light from the tall poles in the far middle-left side of the screen is seldom on, but was on that night for some reason. Don’t know exactly what that spot was, but that’s either a park or a community centre or school next to it.
Games
For my Metaphor: ReFantazio stream game, I spent most of the week farming experience and achievements in it but have come to the realization that there are two achievements that I will need to go to New Game + to achieve. I should still be able to complete them in under a week though, and possibly in as little as a couple days into next week. And then we shall see what else I will play on stream.
Off-stream, Infinity Nikki (local) released, and I had some fun playing that. It’s a Genshin-like game, so open world with lots of things to collect and do, with a gacha lootbox wrapper around it all, but instead of an Adventurer or Traveller, I’m a Stylist, and most of the activities involve collecting fruits, minor jumping puzzles, brushing animals, catching insects, “purifying” enemies with ranged energy balls, and collecting sketches for clothes and then crafting said clothes. Heck, everything from the gacha boxes are clothes and makeup and similar things like that. Many of the clothes and items have descriptions that are very hoity-toity dreamy too, an aesthetic that I LOVE.
Here’s an early view of Nikki, the main character that I control, and Momo, her “Tigey” sidekick companion.
My current dress is closer to this though, and here’s an example of the overly dreamy and flowery item descriptions.
“in a dream, a sky full of feathers falls silently with the light, gracing the earth.”
Here are a handful more examples of ones that I like out of dozens and dozens of them:
“Ancient tomes tell of an old tale: a snow blanketed world where the sun never sets, a sky without clouds, as if everything were encased in a giant sapphire box…”
“Scents can bring memories to life like the lingering, sunny fragrance in your hair from that windy day.”
“The wind awakens the sun and moon to bathe the world in untainted light.”
“Whisper your secrets to the moon, and it will tuck them behind a cloud, turning them into sweet dreams.”
“The first musical step softly sung by the spring breeze marks the prologue of the flowering season.”
“Run in the afternoon sun. Feel the warmth of your face and in your heart.”
“As the wind plucks the strings of branches, birds come bearing flowers. The coronation of spring has begun.”
“Does a bubble know of the impression it leaves on the world? It’s one that’s cool, gentle, and soft.”
Lovely. I could eat these sorts of description snippets up all day. So pretentiously dreamy and I love it. Aaa. Also, I liked this outfit that I had to craft to unlock fishing:
The game has some optimization and lag issues though, and sometimes if you’re just out of range of an item or person and try to interact with it, it will weirdly lock you in place for a couple seconds. Or if you fall off of a cliff and need to respawn, it sometimes tries to respawn you just off the edge of the cliff so you just fall off again immediately. There are definitely still quirky bugs like that that need to be fixed, but I guess it’s still a new game.
Here are a couple of additional pictures from the game outside of flowery item descriptions:
Plushie of the Week #163
We siblings are not actually sure who or what this plushie is — I have dim memories of a plushie that we called the Tasmanian Devil, and I think that that memory was referring to this plushie, but neither of my siblings really remembers much about him, much to his chagrin. He has a Whimsy tag though, which refers to the Whimsy Wonderland arcade in Singapore, where a couple other plushies are from. So this places this tattered boy from Singapore and dates him to the mid 90s or so, probably specifically from the Whimsy Wonderland in Sembawang Shopping Centre.
Anyway, here’s our tattered Tasmanian Devil boy on display for this week. Front:

His tag only says Whimsy on both sides. Tag front:

Song of the Week #140
Title: Helicopter
Artist: Bloc Party
Album: Helicopter (2004)
This week’s Song of the Week is from Anaden! I hadn’t spoken to her in forever but reached out to request a Song of the Week for this week and we had a great chat. I do like these because it gives me an excuse to reach out to people I haven’t talked to in forever, and soon enough I’ll probably diversify and get people outside my main Discord server to write some, too.
When I was asked to write a song of the day my mind went right to the one song I have always adored: Helicopter by Bloc Party. Many ‘90s kids who grew up playing Guitar Hero will probably recognize this as being one of the songs from the third game (the best one obviously). Helicopter is a really fast song and I remember failing quite often to get a good score on it, but I kept playing it because it just really vibed with me! I would even get my next door neighbor and best friend growing up to play it for me since he was great at video games. I ended up buying all of Bloc Party’s albums and honestly adoring the majority of their discography.
Later in life while studying in Vancouver, BC I remember walking by the concert hall that Bloc Party was playing in and just wishing that I could go. A few weeks later for a project we were supposed to work on lighting so I decided to re-create the album cover of Weekend In the City since missing the concert had got the band on my mind. I remember on the plane rides home I would often shuffle play their albums as well. Living abroad was really hard and while I did have some friends in my new city I was still alone a lot more than I had ever been and I turned to music a lot during that time. If anyone has lived in downtown Vancouver they will tell you that walking is the ideal way to get around, aside from the subway (skytrain), so there were many rainy days where I was listening to music on my way to and from school.
Today I still find myself popping over to my Bloc Party playlist from time to time usually just to listen to Helicopter. It honestly still reminds me of being a kid and playing Guitar Hero in the basement with my neighbor and my brother. I hope that you, the reader, will check out Helicopter and Bloc Party’s other songs as I really think they have a unique and emotional voice for each of their songs that can really resonate with people.
What an interesting story! I’ve never heard of the band or the song, but I didn’t play any Guitar Hero either, heh. I love it when there’s a story around people really getting into certain bands and songs though, and stories like this show how they can sometimes help someone get through a difficult time. It’s like a superhero origin story, except with music. I hope she gets to see the band live sometime!
Thank you for doing the writeup!
Memory Snippet of the Week #147
I was chatting with Anaden this week when I reminisced, not for the first time, about a game called APB, or All Points Bulletin, which we used to play together. It was a “cops vs robbers” team deathmatch sort of game, set in an open world that you shared with various other teams, where you signed up as a group for a mission where you were playing against another team, trying to either successfully complete that mission or stop the opposition from completing the mission.
I only played it for a short period of time, which I estimated to be between Jun-Jul 2011 based on logs, and the game itself has also rebranded and relaunched itself on Steam as APB Reloaded since then, I believe. Anaden was the only one from our main LotRO/Discord friends group that played that game for a significant amount of time, as she fell in with another group of people and played that with them a lot. Sadly, this is one of the games for which I have absolutely no screenshots for, as I played this before it was on Steam and wasn’t very good at mindfully taking and tracking screenshots back then. But for some reason, I have multiple fond memories attached to this game that I wanted to place here.
The first memory I have was of my vehicle. I’m pretty sure I had a pink van with something or other emblazoned on the side of it. Maybe a cat’s face? It was very gaudy and I liked it.
The remaining memories were of locations in the game. I remember a shop with other players inside of it upgrading stuff, and then one of my teammates waiting outside the shop to pick me up to go start a quest. But the details of that one are too blurry and I probably wouldn’t even recognize the shop if I saw it again.
The next one is by far and away my strongest memory, there was a big ship moored in the middle of a docks area in the town, with ramps up and down on opposite sides of the ship, and car chases would often go right through that ship with one side pursuing the other.
The remaining ones are memories that I’m not even sure are from this game, but I somehow link it to this one nonetheless. I “see” a partly-outdoors market area, covered by a roof but with two open sides with stairs leading down to the recessed market area from the road level. I remember shootouts happening there. I also remember a two-storey carpark possibly nearby, though that might have been a separate memory altogether. It is possible that this specific memory isn’t from APB though, but I can’t imagine what game it would have been from otherwise. Mind you though, these memories were from over thirteen years ago at this point!
Game memories are interesting huh. It’s always a little weird when a memory surfaces and I’m like… “Huh. I wonder what game that was from?”
—
So I wrote all that out first, but then out of sheer curiosity and hoping against hope, I installed the APB Reloaded game from Steam itself and I was shocked to find that my character actually still existed on the server, despite the fact that I hadn’t logged in in 15 years. Wow. This was especially surprising since I played this off of Steam, and this triggered my “played for the first time” game activity note on Steam, but it auto-logged me in using my Steam account and my characters were there anyway. So I must have connected the accounts at some point in the past, maybe due to this May 2015 email? It’s so ancient that the pictures in it don’t even work anymore.
The game looked mostly dead, though I saw some people murdering each other and some cars flying by near the middle of one of the two PvP game districts that the game had (Waterfront and Financial, and there’s also a third Social district with no PvP). Anyway, I took the chance to take some screenshots of my character:
It turned out that my Jun-Jul 2011 estimate for when I played the game was right on the dot, as per the date of this welcome mail in my inbox that I received from an NPC way back when:
I summoned my vehicle and my memory of it was more or less correct too:
That was a blast from the past! As for the locations, the first location I was thinking of turned out to be the main spawn point of the Financial District:
And the ship area looked like this:
This was actually smaller than the ship in my memory by a rather large magnitude though, but it’s the only ship in the Waterfront district. Did I really twist the memory of this ship that much?
As for the shopping mall, I didn’t find it, although there were several somewhat similar things in the zone. Like this location:
This wasn’t it though, but it looked vaguely similar.
However, after driving around a while, I remembered why I didn’t play much of this many years ago. Besides not being good at gunplay (nor enjoying competitive PvP) in general, the game gave me a massive headache from just driving around. I gave up looking for any other interesting and familiar places and just logged out instead. See you in 15 more years!

Dream 1
- I received news that Mom was sick and possibly close to passing on, so I made an effort to try to visit and move back in with my parents. Jon and Kel were also both living with them by this point, in a house that was somewhat similar to our Yishun 799 house, especially the kitchen. Mom was in said kitchen doing some writing at the table, and she looked perfectly fine to me, but more frail than ever in general these days after her last hospital stay.
- Jon, Kel, and I privately wondered if Dad would lose his drive on life if or once Mom was gone. To partly counteract this, I took Dad out on an outing to the town.
- We took a bus towards a music CD store, and Dad got to chatting with two strangers on the bus. They complained that music, especially from overseas, was too expensive these days, and Dad said that we were headed to a CD store in a strip mall where you could buy as many CDs as you wanted for a flat import fee of $15 per entire purchase.
- Because Dad was talking to the two of them, we missed our stop entirely, as no one else rang the stop bell to inform the bus to stop. By the time I noticed and pulled the cord, we were three stops past our stop.
- After alighting from the bus, I told Dad we could either cross the road and take the bus back the other way, or just walk south past a couple of streets. The actual bus route back would take us way west, south, then way east to the correct bus stop, but if we walked we could just cut south across the roads and get there much faster.
Dream 2
- In this dream, there was a game where I was part of a team defending a flag from an army of goblins that were attacking it. Our characters had skills and a finite mana pool and there was a respawn system after we died too, although the respawn point was some distance away and the goblins arrived and attacked the flag from a point between the flag and the respawn.
- One of the goblin shamans at some point made it to the flag itself and started channeling a cone of fire spell at it as a bunch of us surrounded it and channeled our own damage spells at the shaman until it expired. The flag did survive but took some damage.
- During a lull in the attack later on, I recalled to the respawn point to refill my mana and then ran back to the flag via a circular route.
Dream 3
- I was running around a game city with Nak. We collected some cement plates from a specific building that was still under construction and was only half-built, with about two and a half stories of the building put together with no roof and a bunch of metal rods and pipes sticking out. The cement plates would let us perch and balance on any surface as long as we put the plate down first, so we wanted a couple of them.
- I asked him if he was going to take some cement bricks too, as they also had some other fancy purpose, and he said yes, if he could find some. I pointed out that there was a pile of those bricks behind him.
- Snippet: I was on a train looking for seats with a few other people. I took an empty seat in the corner of the carriage next to a woman, where there were two seats on one side facing two seats on the other side, after passing by another empty seat across from a guy who had a runny nose and a pile of used napkins in an empty seat next to him. I didn’t want to have to look at him through the trip. Some other guy took that seat though.
- Snippet: There were two other dim dream segments that I remember, one to do with working in a cafe with someone else, and the other about someone’s house and a mailbox.
Dec 03 2024
Dream 1
- I moved in to a new apartment in a Russian city. This was an HDB-style apartment on a low floor, but there was no closeable or lockable front door, there was just a mass of metal chains that blocked half the door and then one single chain that extended out from that and across the other half of the doorway and hooked onto something on the other side to act as a very rudimentary barrier to people entering the apartment.
- I had to roll large dice and dodge out of the way of those rolling dice to determine things like monthly rent and where to pay it.
- Two old women neighbours that were passing by my front door told me helpfully that the washing machine in the room operated on a self-report system, I had to tell the landlord how many times I had used it at the end of each month and he would tack on a fee to my rent accordingly.
Dream 2
- I went on an excursion with some friends from Japanese class to a building that was a mix between an arcade, a restaurant, and several other things. There were tasks we had to do in it which involved an ultimate game skill that each of us had, and then we had to show each other the results of the tasks afterwards. Like there was one skill that made drinks drinkable in one gulp, and another that made housing prices affordable for one turn or something. One of the people I was with was dead drunk and just lay face down on the table for most of this segment.
- Later, I went into a back room with another guy. We approached a counter there and he spoke to the attendant in Japanese, asking to buy a snack packet for $19. She asked if there was anything else that we wanted and we looked around the room a bit before saying no. We split the snack packet, which was made from chewable meat, and I paid him $10 to partially reimburse him for the $19 that he had spent on the snack. He didn’t realize that the snack had to be eaten immediately but I insisted.
- On the way back out, we passed by a woman who was seated at a table by herself and looking dejected. He complimented her pants to try to cheer her up, and she looked him over and complimented his shorts as well. The two of them started chatting to each other while I left them be and went outside.
- There was also an adventure segment of this dream which I rmeember involved a motorcycle and travelling to places, but I do not recall any further detail.
- Much later on, I and someone else were at a house when another man came in and asked us to hide him from people who were chasing him. Those people banged on our front door thereafter, asking us if we had seen the man. We went up the stairs from the room we were in and opened the door, calmly telling them that we didn’t. The man’s wife had already been killed and her corpse was perched on one of the upper steps of the stairs we had just climbed, but it was a very stylized corpse that looked like a computer game asset, and we said that we had done that to prepare for a Dark Souls run with some special rules, and the people at the door amiably complimented us and then left.
Dec 04 2024
- As part of a game or contest, I was heading to a hospital in the middle of town with a guy. We were a team of two, working separately from but somewhat cooperating with many other teams of two to achieve whatever our missions were. Someone from another team was not sure how to get to the hospital and broadcast a request for help on a global chat channel, and I looked at the entire city map, saw that he was on the north side of the city, and advised him to go west until he saw some red sewer pipes, then to follow the sewer pipes south, which would lead him right into the basement of the hospital.
- Although I had apparently played this game before, and was somewhat familiar with the zone, the guy I was with was a newer player, and we wandered around the downtown area of the city before we actually went into the hospital as there were smaller objectives to do outside too. I wanted more active players to start attacking the hospital before we did as there were defenders there that needed to be taken out.
- After a bit, I directed my companion to follow me as we tried to enter the hospital through a roof level instead of the ground floor. There were either guards or zombies there too and we lured some of them out of the building before taking them out and eventually making our way in. We had skills but they were expensive, in terms of mana cost, so I told the guy to try not to use them when possible.
- Once we were in the hospital later on, we ran into a scene where the voice actors from Critical Role were acting out an improvised scene in the hallway. Laura Bailey in particular had taken on the persona of an old lady NPC and Matt Mercer liked it so much that once the scene was over, he opened a small door to see if the room beyound it was occupied, before declaring that that would be the temporary residence of that NPC lady for their stay at the hospital. The room was next to several other rooms that the Critical Role actors had for themselves.
- I was watching this from around a corner, out of the actors’ way so as not to disturb them, but my companion had no idea who they were and he barged right through their scene as he walked down the passageway from the far side towards where I was, causing the voice actors to stop and stare at him as he wandered by. I beckoned him over and told him he needed to be more aware of the situation.
Dec 05 2024
- I attended the very end of a history class presentation in school that was being done on a large room that doubled as a stage. There were onlookers watching the presentation but all of them were outside the room peering in.
- At the very end of the presentation, the narrator asked the actors to turn around and show the audience the backs of their formal suits that they were wearing. Most of them did so, and a couple of the guys even removed their suit tops entirely and slung it over their shoulders, showing their half-bared backs to the audience.
- All those people received an achievement for completing the presentation once they stepped out of the room. The last person to do so was a shorter, somewhat plump Chinese boy who was not only dressed in a suit but also a top hat, and he received an additional achievement that a couple of the other people were complaining that they didn’t get. I didn’t fully understand that part or listen to its aftermath as I was headed out of the building by that point though.
- Outside, I waited at the bus stop for a specific bus to come by. The first bus that came by was a double-decker bus and I could technically have taken that one but decided not to as it was too packed.
- Snippet: I was with Dad and for some reason or another he was looking through a small handful of CDs. The very bottom CD was his Country War CD but he did not recognize it.
- Snippet: Killadrix was doing a No-Map Valheim run, and I watched him end up on an island full of cats while exploring. There was also a stream store with many rewards that I was surprised remained unclaimed.
- Snippet: I took a large transport truck in to a car repair shop for checkup. I watched the person in front of me require lots of repairs to his car. When it was my turn, the mechanic examined my truck briefly and declared that it was completely fine and he didn’t want to charge me money just to tinker with the truck slightly when that would change nothing. I was glad at this as I was going to travel some distance on the truck, I had rented it but wanted to make sure it was fine for the trip. The owner hesitated to ask me something and I asked him what he started to say before he stopped. He said he was going to ask if I could store some cartons of eggs for him in the truck, but figured it would not be possible if I was travelling somewhere else. I agreed.
- Editor: That Country War CD was on my blog post last week, see https://shiara.antarat.com/diary/diary-167/#memory.

Dream 1
- A small game village was about to be overrun with rats and trolls and its citizens were evacuating at the start of the game. The objective of the game was to destroy 3 rat nests, which was the easy part, and then once the third nest was destroyed, a troll would spawn at the village gates and run in. At that point, my group had to find and touch a fourth rat nest, and then either kill the troll or escape out the gates that the troll came from.
- In our first attempt at the game, I hit and destroyed three rat nests and the troll ran in, so we hid from it as we attempted to find a fourth rat nest, but we found that most of them had immediately started to shrivel once the troll spawned, and so by the time we were feeling brave enough to reach a fourth rat nest, it was already unusable.
- Not having that as a recourse anymore, we tried to attack the troll but it smashed us in. So we restarted the game.
- This time, knowing what would happen with the rat’s nests, we hit three nests further out and then ran back toward the back of the village, away from the gate, to a fourth nest that we had left alone because it was easier to reach. We destroyed that too, then turned out attention to the troll, who was now within the walls of the village but was not aggroed yet. We engaged it from far using ranged attacks and took it down.
Dream 2
- There was a combined class made out of people from four different actual classes, and we were being split into groups of 3 in order to do a project. We were given wristbands that we wore around our left wrist to mark the class that we came from, so that the teacher could divide us into groups where we were not paired with people from another class.
- While waiting to be paired up, I was with several people seated at the front right long table in the class, with an Indian girl on the left of me, Nak and another girl on the right side of me, and several people behind me. People were wandering around and chatting since the teacher was taking forever to do the assignments.
- The people behind me were sorted into groups, and Nak and the girl on my right were quickly grouped too, but although I expected the Indian girl to my left to be paired with me, along with another Indian girl who came by to the front of our table to say hi, the teacher missed us while she went to group up the people to the left of the Indian girl, and then went to group up people further back in the classroom.
- While I was sitting around and waiting, I noticed that the attack and defence stats of a sword that I was carrying was abnormally high. Upon further review, it was because Nak had been idly casting a weapon buffing spell on it over and over while we sat around.
- Eventually, we decided to move from where we were as we were surrounded by groups to our left, right, and back anyway and unlikely to have enough space to do whatever project that the groups were supposed to do. We were worried that we would not have enough time for it either, even though there was suppose to be a second class the next day where we would continue to work on the project, before the presentations on the third day.
- We moved to the front table on the left side of the room, which the teacher hadn’t gotten to yet since she seemed to be going from front to back on the left column of tables, then back to front on the right column, while divvying up people into groups. There were either 6 or 9 people left to be grouped once we reached there, and she mixed the three of us with the other remaining people instead of grouping us together. This was fine by me though.
- Snippet: I remember a specific scene where I found a potential home in a town northeast of the city that I felt was a good candidate to buy. On the map, the northeast town was a huge central market area with a train line going southwest out of it toward the main city, and around the market area was a residential band that looped around it and encircled it. The home I found seemed to be a small apartment on the north side of the loop, it was on the second or third level of a tall HDB flat and not particularly large or new, but it seemed serviceable, cheap, and I liked the location. I showed Dad the location to get his opinion and wondered if it was too close to a potentially loud area for him and Mom.

- I was with lots of people in what seemed to be a large cave. Each of us had a decrementing counter of some sort, which represented something that I don’t quite recall, perhaps some skill usage limit or something, but that was nonetheless integral to the plot. Most of the people in the cave were in a first group that was sent out to do something, but they failed, and I was part of the second group that was sent out afterwards and that I believe eventually succeeded in the overall task.
- While I don’t remember the overall gist of the plot, I remember there were some cave horses in a nearby cave that were called “fuma”, and also there was a map of a second game zone outside our cave that was called “ferlic”.

- I remember three wizenly old women in the middle of a market, they were witches and dressed in traditional black witch garb. They were surrounded by citizens going about their daily market lives, and no one seemed overly concerned by them. All three of them were standing at curved mini-stalls that were only large enough to frame their faces and bodies, and they were all facing the same direction. I was standing not far away from them and trying to trigger some magic from them by activating or throwing something at them, but to no avail. I figured out eventually that this was because the stalls were installed facing the wrong direction and the witches could only cast magic when facing in the opposite direction.
- Later on, they ended up on an island with a tiny jutting-out peninsula. They built a hut that had a small zone of infleunce around it and took up the space of the entire peninsula, leaving the hut with one cardinal direction where it could be accessed by land, and three cardinal directions where it could be accessed by sea.
- Snippet: In a separate, earlier dream, I had a long stick that made me immune from a lot of damage and was able to complete many difficult objectives in a quest by literally “scratching” out danger and tough enemies using the end of my stick. It took a while to defeat enemies this way but it was completely safe. I don’t remember the overall quest story here, though I was in a house with a couple other people in my party who did not have such a strong artifact, and we were going room to room to clear things out. There was a room with glowy balls constantly firing against a wall that we had to find another solution for, however.
